How is the market in Holiday season? Should I list my home?

Everyone in real estate knows that November and December are the slowest months of theyear, people are busy preparing their holiday party, family get together, shopping, buying gift. So most of the time, the open house turn a Halloween night, it's a ghost town. I had a friend who just had an open house over the weekend, and no one showed up. Many people just not thinking of selling at this time, it is time for family and celebration.

But to people out there who is looking to sell in a near future, here is my advice. your holiday could be event better, by starting cleaning up, getting rid off some of your unwanted furniture, clothes, books, toys, anything that you would not take with you when you move. Well that make your house look better for holiday, right. Also, you can even put thing that you won't use in a near future in boxes. that will make it easier when you move as well.

While your home is not on a market, it is a perfect time to get it ready on the market. taking advantage by calling local Realtor to get some home improvement advice is another good thing to do since most of the Realtors has more time during this slow season. Also, they will provide you a free CMA, marketing plan, and your home will be ready before anybody else when market pick up again.
