Tis the Time for Thanks

Only two days away we celebrate the day of Thanks. when the pilgrims and natives started the event way back in the earliest days of our country they were giving Thanks for the bountiful year that they had and this was a way to celebrate, with food. The focus of the day now seems to be the meal or meals that we look forward to, the football games, the parade, seeing family, maybe that should have been first on the list. We have all been Blessed in many ways, and we need to give Thanks for those Blessings, not only on Turkey Day but every day of the year. This year our Thanks giving meal is going to be a brunch, with our children going to spouses families for the big meal. With our little meal, which actually won't be so small, I look forward to spending time with our children and grandchildren, special times leave special memories that we are so Thankful for.
