Thanksgiving, Family and Real Estate

Thanksgiving is a time when we all talk about food and football. How much we are going to try and stay away from the desert table and not drink quite as much as last year all well we continues to lie to ourselves regarding such activities. As with all holiday seasons we wonder how will be able to split the time between family and business. That should not even be on our minds, the answer is family comes first. With all the time Real Estate drains from our families without them we could not do this business effectively. Without the support they give us and all the times dinner is sitting in the oven waiting or the phone calls while dinner is on the table it all comes down to this. Without the care, understanding and support our families give us there would not be a reason to get out of bed in the morning. Sure, there are some out there who need no reason other than the thrill of the chase to get the day going but those people are few and far between and from my view miss out on the reason for the seasons we all enjoy. Some of the most successful people I have met in my varied past careers (most are millionaires) have two things in common. When they talk about their business you can see the intensity in their eyes grow and the smile gets bigger and bigger. The second is they all put their families ahead of business. Most not all know that without the support they have the success is shallow and without worth. So as we all go out this Thanksgiving with the thoughts of food and football, remember that without our family it would just be another meal. Eat, drink and remember the stretchy pants. Be prosperous and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

JD,

Good thoughts.  If Thanksgiving did not include the meal, would we still gather with our families?  Absolutely, family comes first.  Have a great Thanksgiving.
