Simple Grace features the full-time ministry of the Jim Hitch Family from rural Martell, Nebraska. Jim and Kathy, and their eight children (though the youngest is still under contract negotiations!), offer a variety of Christian music, including selections from bluegrass, traditional, gospel, folk and original pieces.
Their performances include guitars, fiddles, banjo, mandolin, piano, harmonicas, dobro and other miscellaneous instruments, in an inspirational and uplifting program, which ministers across denominational lines.
The Simple Grace Ministry focuses on God's faithfulness as reflected in His families, and His amazing, unfathomable, simple grace!
John Paul and Rochelle Ruiz have both been professional artists, singing, dancing, and acting since childhood. Their combined experience from childhood to young adulthood includes commercials, many stage performances, and productions with America's Youth in Concert, Kings Productions, The Young Americans, and The USO.
Since 1989 they have been invited as a team to encourage, teach and uplift a countless number of people via television, radio, various concerts and crusades, camps, retreats and church services. They have led worship and shared special music at many conferences with well known evangelists and teachers.
They ministered in Asia for over 3 years. While there they had their first recording released under Universal Records/Warner Brothers. They had the opportunity to work with CBN and were a part of one of the biggest evangelistic outreaches in Asia, "The Answer" campaign. They sang backup vocals for Integrity Music worship leaders Ron Kenoly, Don Moen and Paul Wilbur.
Currently they live in Minnesota. They led worship at their church for 5 years before stepping down. You may have heard Rochelle and her puppet “Willie” as hosts for Saturday Morning Block Party on the MCBI radio network.
