Is it part of a train?
Good morning Al & Peggy, I have NO idea what that is, but it is a cool picture. I will stay tuned to see what clues you give us.
I'd say a train but those wheels won't turn.
Funny thing, we said that everyone would guess some part of a trian, we have to tell you Wanda and Larry it not that easy. Check the clue at supper time, Andrea give it a shot.
I don't have any idea as to what it could be, but I'm anxiously awaiting the supper time clue.
Looks like a spur gear with the alignment wheels. Maybe part of the mechanism to open up one of the 'locks' up there along the lake?
Wow Al & Peggy, you have me stumped... when you say it hasn't been used in years, are you saying that generally it is no longer used, or that you haven't used this thing in years?
Ed you are on the right "track" but no cigar. You will probably help others with their guesses.
Chris somethings just have to make way for the new, and this poor things slowed to a stop.
I think it is the mechanism that allows water through or to shut the flow of water off....close....huh?!
Sorry Wanda, but dinner time is getting close....
To me it looks like the wheels of a railroad car in a museum that have been locked so that the car won't roll away in an earthquake. The shack looks like the old railroad shacks during the railway post office days where the mail clerk would hang out the upstairs window with the mail bag hanging on a stick and the mail clerk in the railway post office car would catch the mail bag with his own stick as the train rolled by. Ah, those were the days.
Good guess Russel but this is not a train or any part of one. Could get hairballs licking these stamps.
Al and Peggy - could it be something to do with a river raft or ferry across a river ... or perhaps part of a lift for an old mine shaft
Al and Peggy, I am real bad at this so I will just come back tomorrow to see what the answer is.
My smart brother is looking over my shoulder and telling me it's for a draw bridge.
Okay, so we're all left in suspense here! My first thought was something like a train, but then the wheels looked locked. Perhaps I'm just too young! (lol)
Okay Active Rain, take a minute and stop eating that turkey and check out the answer to the "Name That Photo", just click right here for your answer.
