Several people over the last few months have told me that they don't have anything to be thankful for this year. And I certainly cannot blame them for how they feel. No doubt times are tough and just about everyone is feeling a little bit pinched.
However there are still plenty of things to be thankful for. Many Americans are re-learning that monetary and tangible things truly are not that important. The important things are your health, your family and friends, and your faith. Even though some people have big concerns over where America is headed (and I am definitely one of them), America is still the greatest country in the world. Opportunity still abounds.
Sooner or later this economy will change. When it does, you need to have re-positioned yourself to take full advantage of it. Revamp your strategy, get some new education, re-connect to some old relationships that you haven't spoke with in a while. Make some changes. The new year will be here before you know it anyway and with that a chance at a fresh start. If you are going to a nice feast this Thanksgiving, make sure to invite someone that might not have much to eat or to celebrate. It might just be the pick me up that person needs.
Thank you to all of my family, friends, sales associates, and customers! May your holiday be truly blessed. Please have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
