The Power of One - Is That You?

Huh?Not to sensationalize a topic, but I got thinking today when I picked up my daughter from school. Typically the cars line up in an organized, single file fashion, for safety reasons of course. Today, the "traffic director" apparently wasn't there, and the picture at right is what entailed.

It just goes to show you the power and influence of just one person. On this Thanksgiving, let's remind ourselves that we can be the one to make someone else's day brighter. For some people, our "Happy Thanksgiving" greeting may be the only one they hear all day. Even just a smile can greatly help someone. And we all know that they are contagious!

Do you have a friend you haven't talked to in a while but have been thinking about? Call them to say "Happy Turkey Day". Do you know someone that probably doesn't have a place to go for turkey? Why not invite them over?

I am tremendously thankful for all God has given me. I think the least that I can do is share the many blessings with someone else, especially those in need.

Happy Thanksgiving

and God Bless

Hmmmm

Steve,

You definitely lead by example.  I went to the Acme tonight to get a few things for our Thanksgiving dinner.  After I had put everything out on the conveyor belt, I noticed the young lady in back of me only had 3 items.......3 pies.  I asked her is she wanted to go ahead of me.  She hesitated and asked me, "Are you sure?"

After she paid for her pies, she turned and gave me the biggest, most enthusiastic "Happy Thanksgiving" that I received all day!

Have a happy day tomorrow, Steve!  I hope it is filled with joy.
