I don't know, maybe it's just me but I really enjoy real estate. Here it is 11:30pm and I can't sleep. Got back to the hotel after two great client meetings this evening, and I have been reminded how much I love what I do for a living. After two successful client meetings I stopped for dinner and ran into an old friend, he and his friends joined me for an after dinner drink and not only did I get to catch up with an old friend, but picked up a new client as well. I think it was a Dale Carnegie moment, I didn't even know I was selling and made the sale. It never ceases to amaze me how much we are always "on". My enthusiasm apparently "sold them". It's like interviewing for a job when you really don't care if you get the job or not, you get that job. I didn't know they were looking for an agent, yet I was at the right place at the right time, and said the right thing at the right time, that made the difference. I was all "up" for the client meetings and was completely disarmed while have a quiet dinner, and low and behold... a solid client out of the blue.
I think the lesson I learned tonight was to embrace what you do, you never know when your enthusiasium will affect someone else. I had fun tonight, my old friend had fun tonight, and his friends (people I have never met before) had fun, and we all walked away from the table with a positive experience.
I sure hope other agents out there who are working harder and harder for the same outcome remember that we have the advantage of making new friends and doing something for a living that gives us new friends now, and new clients in the future.
If you or somebody you know would appreciate my services, please contact me with their information and I will be happy to help them.
