I'm honored to have been chosen to bring you this week in review! All those who post to localism.com are commended for their involvement in presenting great consumer information! It really is a daunting project to choose just 25 post for inclusion!
It's summer time in the city and country and everyone is looking for the "hot" cool things to do - so here are my found faves for this week:
I LOVE NEW YORK - Mitchell Hall presents a specatular grouping, showcasing photos from other Active Rain members from every corner of New York.
Fourth of July - The Lowcountry Way - Diane Szoke & Carolyn Dubrofsky provides an excellent schedule of upcoming events for the 4th of July celebration in Charleston, SC.
Food for the Soul - Dine for the Charleston Nine - Diane Szoke & Carolyn Dubrofsky post about a benefit featuring "tastings from more than 40 local restaurants" where the funds raised will go the families of nine firefighters killed in a horrific fire last week.
We've had our fun, we've ate our fill, now for some straight news:
Let's Pour Some Rain on that Phantom Tax - Roberta Murphy talks about the "shock of and dismay of a former owner who receives a tax bill for the "forgiven debt" that occurred with the short sale" and a bill hoping to change that situation.

Very nice round-up Michelle. As typical, there's plenty of stuff I've missed. Well Done!
Thank You Michelle , with so many many wonderful posts, it is a real honor to have been included. A totally awesome job and beautifully presented. I love the background of your post, it makes your presentation a real stand out. Many Thanks again.
Hi Michelle - I love your presentation of this week's Week in Review! Sounds like some great reading in this group, and I seemed to have missed most of these somehow. Thanks for highlighting them and I'm off to read those I missed.
Michelle this is a tough one to put together, nice job....I always appreciate these. I miss many of these posts just don't have the time. Thanks again.
Michelle, thanks for the mention. WOW, that is a surprise. Lots of hard work doing thes posts, reading about ohter area's. I bet you feel like you know more about the country than most of us do.
It's such an honor to be included on your list, not just once but twice! We are over the moon. Although it can be hard work putting these posts together, I feel like I'm an ambassador for my community, and sharing all the latest news and events that take place on a weekly basis is fun for me. It gives me a chance to connect with people and give them a bit of insight into how I fell in love with this part of the world in the first place. It can be a bit daunting sometimes because there seems to be so much to write about.
I love the background you used on your post. If you don't mind me asking - how do you do that?
Thank you again for all your hard work and letting us be a part of this weeks review.

Michelle - What a lovely post. Visually appealing and a great reference. You did so much work researching this and then getting everything copied and linked! Thanks so much for this and for including my little blurb on Break of Dawn restaurant in Laguna Hills---what a great compliment!
