Remember when?

I enjoy writing an occasional piece for the local paper. It is a change of pace and tests skills I don't always use. This particular one is about growing up in Wenatchee and the role radio played... much better than TV...lol!

Anyway for those of you that might be interested or that want to take a short step back in time and remember how we grew up you might find this link of interest http://tr.im/FWXo

It was another day and time and we do all grow up (ok, Peter Pan excepted) but it is fun to stop and remember... thanks for dropping by! Happy Thanksgiving!

I remember listening to radio programs at my grandparents house. They were not early adopters of TV. They did eventually come around.

Early TV was not much more than radio, televised. Gradually it took on it sown flavor and character!

Perrin,

It just doesn't seem that it was that long ago:)  All fond memories of time spent with family.  Holidays do make us take a walk back in time, don't they?  We are fortunate to have these good memories.

It's a Good Life,

Fran

Fran, everyday I take that trip...I guess it comes with age...but honest Im only 30...but trapped inside the mind and body of 64;).

On a day to day basis I connot remember one day that my family didn't have breakfast and dinner together and there was no TV on at the time either... pretty much that covers my parents and my daughter too... Im not saying NEVRER...but it was seldom and a special reason if the TV was on or our meals were speerate..
