This weekend we are offering freshly made Tarte au Sucre from the Sucrerie de la Montagne located in Rigaud, Québec. This is a sumptuous treat for the whole family, friends or guests. Whether it be for dessert, served at tea-time or a a late-night snack, these traditional Québecois sugar pies will hit the spot.

This weekend only, we are selling our Tarte au Sucre for $10.25 each, and,

if you buy one,

you get the second sugar pie for half-price!

I wasn't going to add anything to the above, but I'll tell you ... the tarte is definitely addictive, and so are a number of other things, like some of the cheeses and terrines.

If you can't go to them, they can come to you. They offer catering services as well.
I know you know where the Distillery District is .... pass by A Taste of Quebec ... you won't regret it.

Sylvie, I can smell the pie by just looking at your pictures. Yummy, I'm still salivating.

Sylvie..That's Not Fair Fighting......Okay I give up, I'm yours :O))

Fred, It looks like Sylvie's pie will take your cookies down in a heart beat. When you start a food war, you will always have someone take you out....and fast.

Sylvie, Thank goodness I am not hungry tonight. We just got back from the Magic Wok. It was their 20th anniversary so the waiter told us after the meal, they were taking 20% off the price of the meal. That was a nice surprise! Authentic Chinese food too. Hmmm. I hope I am around for their 50th. ;)

Sylvie - You now have 200,156 points!!! Congratulations on this fantastic milestone. :)

I don't know exactly what kind of pie this is, but hand me a fork and some espresso!

Hi Sylvie, I don't know what kind of dessert that is but do they ship? I love desserts (and will sometimes skip the meal altogether!). Please enjoy some for me....

Congratulations on the points milestone. And when I started reading this, I thought I would have to travel to Quebec.

This is interesting to know. I act for several clients who have bakeries.

Thank you all for the congrats ... I didn't even notice (haven't been around much lately).

And as far as the pie, I am not sure what's in it, besides brown sugar, nutmeg and cream, but trust me, it's delicious ... and it goes really well with espresso, Laura. :)

Carole, I like dessert too. I stay away from it, except for a few times a year, and around this time of year, I will indulge (hopefully in a little tarte au sucre, if they have any left).

Sylvie, you brought back memories of a family trip to St. Anne de Beupre in March 2005. Thanx =)
