Stage-Show-Sell.LLC has many tools boxes.   One for electrical, one for staging, one for hanging art work and of course one for cleaning.

q-tips The q-tip, along with toothbrushes,  has become indispensable in the cleaning tool kit.

One of the last staging jobs that we worked on had flies.  Lots of flies everyday.

The owners daughter said that they have been in the house for the past 10 years.

We all know that we all see flies dirt and uncleanliness.  The house wasn't dirty.  It did need a once over yes but it wasn't dirty.

My crew took q-tips to the window tracks and sliders.  We then vacumned them all.  The windows were cleaned and then a bug and spider spray was applied to all.

It's been three weeks and there is not a fly (dead or alive) around.

Flies like to lay their eggs in the window sills and when the sun hits them, even on cold winter days, they will hatch.

Not a fun subject but and extremely important one.

The training given by Barb Schwarz is quoted as saying to clean to "Q tip" clean.

The Q tip is handy for cleaning crevices of appliances or sinks. Also toothpicks help route  dirt out of tough places.

Hi Virgina, That was very interesting about flies. We don't see many of them here in Souther Cal. Maybe because it is so dry. A very interesting thought and the cure surely did make sense. As for tooth brushes, they are great for detailing and cleaning tile grout. I suggested this last week as I went through a home with a seller that we will list after the holidays. I told here it needed to be spotless and detaled and showed her the tedious tasks that a tooth brush can handle. She said she didn't have any old ones and should she buy some. You can guess my answer.

Thanks for the tip for Q-tip:), Virginia!

I should go and get my tool box updated.

As the tooth brush was brought up in William's comment, here is a tip for covering the nail holes: white toothpaste. Works like a charm.

Thank you Virginia. These are also great for nail holes in the wall. One little glob of paint on the end of the Q-Tip and the hole is gone!

Thanks all for commenting.   I wondered if "flies" would bring any interest to AR members

Wanda, I loved the play on words.

Marianne, I do my best to have them cleaned and sanitary for you :-)
