Some Fresh White covering in the White mountains of New Hampshire...enjoy this Sunday scene, of majestic peaks in the distance. November 29th...Mountain scenes Lincoln New Hampshire...Loon Mountain Ski Resort

The official start of Winter is still three weeks away, but the White Mountains change of season has already begun. The Valley floors are still green but the temperature differences at the peaks...means rain in town and snow on the mountains.

Rising up from the Ski Village of Lincoln New Hampshire, the mountains tend to be out of season throughout the year compared the towns where we live. The Mountains are slow to get green in the spring, quick to change color in the fall and first to be White as winter approaches.

The trails on the slopes look different in the fall. Picture Taken October 10th, Loon Mountain Ski Resort.

While the snow may send many to warmer climates, that is not the case in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This is a signal a new season of recreation is about to begin. Lincoln New Hampshire and Loon Mountain recreation area offers visitors the Spring, Summer, Fall and ...Winter - Activities that keeps families coming back for great Holiday memories. See You on the slopes...Soon!!.

Gerry & Bob, We are hoping to open the ski resort next weekend...it doesn't have to snow but it does have to be cold enough the snow-makers to run the guns.

Kim, home is where the heart is, mine just happens to have big beautiful Mountains, clear Rivers, and not a lot of people at the one traffic light in town.

Steve.. My question is.. Have you pulled out your skiis yet?  Better still, how many runs have you done. LOL.  If you haven't, I know that you can't wait.

Thanks Leesa & Kathleen, I like to pull over at a spot on my way to work...this view is about two miles north of my house...and two miles south of my office.

That first picture is like a Christmas card...so beautiful!  I am not a fan of the cold or Winter, but I really do love fresh fallen snow.
