GA Broker Exam

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Sign Your Deed Realty

oh yeah one more thing before I leave to get back to my vacation I PASSED the Georgia BROKER's EXAM!!!!!!  The simulation test was funky and different but it is not that hard you just have to pay attention and NONE of the classes prepare you for the test that is the scary part!  It took a HUGE load off of me to pass that test!!!!  Experience is what made it easy though and being a full time agent gave me the experience!  Let me know if you need any tips to pass it!

John,

Let me know when you pass, hopefully you will get it over with soon, the test really seemed easy to me.  I have my own brokerage already and I hired my broker it cost a lot of money to do that but his support was money well spent to make sure everything was alright for the past 2 1/2 years.  I started my office from scratch so if you ever need any help let me know.......Take care!

I'm still waiting for GIRE to pass the test results to AMP; I may have to make a few calls today and see if I can expedite the process. As you say, Im ready to get it over with! I'll have my three years experience in sales next month; however, I'm more on the investment / restoration side of the business. My father, brother, and I restore houses in the Virginia Highlands / Morningside areas of Atlanta.

Your advice and help is a godsend. The World truly needs more people like you :)

Much respect,

John D

Hi Jennifer,

Was there any math problems to solve on the simulation exam? Math questions kind of struck me funny as to how they would work them in to the simulation.

Thanks!

John,

Zero is the answer no math at all on the simulation test that I took.  Good luck I hope you pass!

I've read conflicting reports:

From GREC: "...the broker exam will test in a new format.  Although the exam will continue to be primarily multiple-choice questions, it will contain simulation-based questions."  (http://www.grec.state.ga.us/PDFS/About/newsarticles/GRECREnewsFeb06.pdf)

From AMP:  "The Georgia Real Estate Broker Examination will now be offered as a simulation examination only." (http://www.goamp.com/DOCUMENTS/pdf/HANDBOOKS/garep-sim-info.pdf)

So which is true?  Primarily multiple-choice plus some simulations, or simulation only?

The test is ALL simulations, with multiple answers that give you points and multiple answers that deduct points.  Some simulatons could have 3 to 5 correct answers and 3 to 5 incorrect answers.  You have to pick the best answers.

Congratulations on passing your broker exam. Its even more impressive considering that none of the classes prepared you for the exam. I am going to definitely need your help next year when I decide to start taking my broker classes.

Thanks, Jennifer. The simulated exam is definitely different and not to be taken lightly.

Took the exam twice, 1st time passed 92 on IG, scored 77 on DM and needed 79 on DM.  Very dissappointed.  Will retake on two weeks while it is fresh.

Angela

Hello and I will be taking brokers AMP exam on this Tuesday and have been studying and working full time. I have passed end of course test and now trying to condition my mind to the simulation test. I have been on compucram which does not have the simulation so I purchased the examsmart which does have simulation style questioning. Pls, any advice for me before I take it. I don't want to have to do it twice. I'm gonna try to be as relaxed as expected due to nerves sometimes gets in the way.

When I said working full time, that is, on a job for 31 years doing something else. So almost retirement and I am preparing to do this. So some experience selling and listing but over the years. So sort of like just getting back to doing this so kinda still familiar with a lot of this but kind of rusty too. So any advice is welcomed.
