There's a golden rule that should never be violated when dealing with customers and that is keeping faith with them.
It's important to make the sale, but it's more important to be there after the sale to provide any follow up service that may be required. Never forget that your customers are real people who have placed their trust in you to deliver on their behalf.
Old fashioned after sale service doesn't go out of style.
Never look for the profit angle in after sales service....it's something that should be an automatic policy of your business. Invite home buyers to give you a call anytime.
Make an announced visit while your buyers are moving in and carry a small box or lamp from the delivery van into their new home for them as a symbolic gesture. Check back with your buyers by phone a month after their move to find out how things are going.
Stay in contact. A non-commercial looking card at holiday times....or birthdays will keep you fresh in their minds without the appearance of being invasive. They'll remember you and tell their friends.
These are things you should want to do anyway....rather than feel the necessity to do. Being a good person is part of who and what you are.....and how you want to be remembered. In the world of Real Estate sales, little things mean a lot.
Thanks. Sincerely, David
