The Outer Banks is joining the high tech age with the addition of 17 web-cams installed on Rt 15. The northern most one is located at Sea Oats Trail in Southern Shores and the southern most one is located at Whalebone Junction in Nags Head.

Before you go out into the summer traffic on the Outer Banks you can check out the traffic conditions at http://apps.dot.state.nc.us/tims/
