12 Comments on Paint Or Not To Paint - Click Here For Amazing Results For Painting Brick Homes!
Very nice! Love the first home. I'm not usally a big fan of painting brick, but you did a great job!
The first home was very dramatic result of the painting. Now after the painting that home is beautiful.
You really did achive great results with both homes. Wonderful paint recommendations!!!
Can you give us more details on what kind of paint you used & how many coats? Primer, I presume?
Patty - Significant improvement on both homes!
I work with a local investor here in Atlanta that flips many brick homes. Fortunately, he understands the value in painting the brick and in fact, relies on me for making the color choices. I'll post some before and after pictures soon.
Congratulations. Your home staging is being featured in the group Staging Before & After Pictures.
Kathy
Absolutely wonderful.
I haven't had the opportunity to recommend painting brick yet. Now I'll be confidant to do so
We don't have brick homes here in California (earthquakes!), but we do have brick fireplaces, which so often are discolored by the fires and make the room seem dark. Some homeowners refuse to paint the brick (or wood as Sally mentioned above) and I just don't get it...it can make a tremendous difference. Congratulations on your successful flipping!
Brittany, Mark and Linda, Thanks, The first home is my favorite too!
Beth, The primer was Kilz II latex primer (one coat). Exterior paint was an exterior Acrylic latex paint. My favorite is Sherwin Williams brand. The stucco top coat was colored with Elastomeric. Hope this helps.
Kathy- the renovations were a lot of fun. Thanks for the feature!
Virginia, I too was nervous so I tried it several times on my own properties and I loved it.
Sally, I agree...What is the question?? LOL
Patti, thanks. Paint works wonders on fireplaces!
Patty,
These houses are absolutely adorable. What a great job you did!
Patty, The transformation, particularly with the first house pictured, is really amazing. Great job!
