The Corolla Ocean Rescue and the Wildlife Education Center have teamed up to teach the public about the ocean. Rip tides are the leading cause of drowning deaths and this program will teach you how to spot a riptide and how to get out of a riptide should you find yourself in one.

The program is held every Tuesday across the street from the Currtituck Lighthouse at the public beach access. There are two 2 hour session at 10:30 and 1:30. For more call 252-207-2602 or visit www.corollafireandrescue.com.
