So, right before Thanksgiving everyone starts thinking about the Holiday coming up. The whole week before Thanksgiving I was frantic trying to get everything to the banks, title, clients, inspectors and appraisers. CRAZY!!!!!! crazy time. Of course no one was working Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Now that it's Monday everyone is nuts trying to catch up. I spent my weekend working on a short sale listing in Pahrump. Appraiser had conditions on the loan. Pool needing to be full and hot water to the house. Well, some no name company came in and winterized the property. Not sure why. The house is still my clients, it's a short sale. The house is vacant but the bank came in and winterized and changed the locks. Since it's in Pahrump the property is on a well, so the electricity had to be turned on to make sure the well worked. But since the bank changed the locks and it took them 72 hours to get me the lock box code, I was in panic mood. What if when I turn on the water and something in the house has water running? The bank didn't care, it takes 72 hours to get you the code. So I turned on the water and immediately could hear water running in the house. I run to shut off the water to find that when I climbed through a window to get in the house, I found the two water heaters were draining out 75 gallons of water each. The company that winterized the property took the drain caps off the water heaters, DUH!!!!. I can't swear on ActiveRain but you can imagine what I was thinking.
To make a long story short I spent 6 hours cleaning up gallons of water and filled the pool. Only to find out that one of the water heaters blew out an element because the company that winterized the property screwed up. And one of the heaters to the house didn't work.. Closing is the 8th. I can say that I am a true dedicated agent to my clients and myself. I have NEVER been in a position that called for me to be there to close a deal like I've had to do .... That's just what we do... So to all the agents out there that have given their time, heart and soul to a closing. Kudos to you, whether or not you do short sale listings. I love them, but their kicking my you know what..
