White House Christmas Parade-The White House Christmas Parade is at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 5th. You can download a printable registration form for the parade at www.cityofwhitehouse.com/parks on the programs and activities page. Please come join the fun! The parade is a blast to watch but it's even better when you are in it! The parade route will be the same as last year. It begins at the Municipal Park, follows Hwy 76 to Hwy 31W, down to Raymond Hirsch Pkwy and back to the Municipal Park.
Grand Marshal-The Grand Marshal for the annual Christmas parade is Andy Leftwich, the phenomenal fiddle player in Ricky Skaggs Kentucky Thunder band! He will be accompanied in the parade by his wife, Rachel. Andy, age 28, was raised in White House and joined Skaggs in February of 2000. Already in his young career, Leftwich has accumulated 4 Grammy's and 6 IBMA's (International Bluegrass Music Awards)! You can hear some of Andy's music at http://skaggsfamilyrecords.com.
Parade Theme-A Christmas Present--The Gift of Love.
Holiday Extravaganza-Immediately following the parade will be the Holiday Extravaganza at City Hall. Bring your kids to get their picture made with Santa, starting at 4:15 pm. Make memories with your family as you enjoy the wonderful music, decorations, food, hot chocolate and coffee. The event is Free!
