10 Comments on Snuggling up with a good book is the BEST!
Hi BethAnn~ I love to read but rarely take the time to do it! I have got to take your advice and do more of it!
I hated reading in school and as I've grown older I've really developed a deep love and appreciation for it. Reading is just so rewarding.
Hi BethAnn - I just finished "Same Kind of Different As Me" which was recommended by a couple of Facebook friends. It's the true story of a sharecropper and a high-end art dealer, and has a lot of great moments and spiritual messages. Definitely a must read.
Yes Vickie take some time for yourself!
Brian: Thats cool, yes reading IS rewarding.
John; THANKS! for the suggestion, I will check that out!
BethAnn: I always have a couple of books at my bedside... and usually end up reading for at least thirty minutes each night... before falling off to sleep. My current book is called "The Feminine Face of The Divine." I find it entrancing.
I always say that I am going to start reading ---- I do find it relaxing - just seems like I can't find the right book - I guess! Thanks for sharing!
I have lots of books and magazines I am anxious to read, it's just that the squeaking wheel gets the grease, and my books just don't squeak loud enough!
Karen Anne, good for you!
Norma, so many to choose from!
Janna: I relate
I'm itchin to get back to my reading time, and ran across your blog, and getting ready to write about my 09 business favorites...
A few favorite reads for pleasure: "the Help" by Kathryn Stockett -- finished recently. An amazing look at relationships between homeowners and their domestic help.
"Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafón - translated from the original Spanish version, a captivating story woven around a book
"Pillars of the Earth"by Ken Follett - the tale placed in 12th century England, threaded around the building of a cathedral
I'm looking forward to the next week, when I plan on getting back to reading for simple pleasure.
Valesca, Cool! You go girl...
