AGAINST CAP AND TRADE? Here Is Your List.......

Real Estate Agent

The Center for American Progress published a list of 100 organizations that support cap-and-trade.

They are asking that you boycott the following companies that Support the cap and trade Bill.....

Well there goes my Starbucks for breakfast and my Pepsi and Coca Cola for Lunch.. and darn no more wearing Levi Strauss and Niki's...... or pampering my self with Johnson and Johnson Baby Lotion after a hard day of cleaning with vinegar and water because Dow chemicals are out..

and so much for driving Ford. GM or Chysler products or filling the tank with Shell or Conoco Phillips.. and certainly no more Googling on my Hewlett Packard Computer and Newsweek too ....OMG...

But here is the real kicker... Whatever will we all do on Sundays?  We are to BOYCOTT.. Catholic, Evangelical. Lutheran. Episcopalian, BAPTIST, Jewish and all Churches associated with The  National Council of Churches...

Seems that in order  to keep the Bill from being passed we need to be willing to Leave The Lord to worship alone...

Wow all this and more to  BOYCOTT  the Cap and Trade Bill...

Still willing to sign on? and if so do you promise to boycott all those 100 things on the list to support your cause?

Thanks linda , I guess it comes full circle for some of us and the older sayings are the best "you always get what you pay for".,but in this case who they voted in to take away our way of life!

I don't know how they compiled their list but I feel that the people who are for it are going to be in for a BIG shock when they discover what it does to our country.

This is a big fleece is all it is. There  IS NO global warming. It SNOWED in TEXAS this week and will SNOW again Friday. This happens here every so many years. If we had global warming, I assure you there'd be no damn snow in TEXAS of all places!

What we do have is a planet that goes through NORMAL phases of climate change. This global warming is as big a joke as the one about the world being FLAT.

I am BIGGGGGGGGG on keeping our environment clean, pretty and preserved for future generations. I DO use vinegar to clean with, I do buy organic, I RAISE MY OWN CHICKENS, I bathe with castille soap, I brush my teeth with Tom's of Maine, I don't even believe in putting chemical pesticides or fertilizers on my lawn (grits takes care of ants!) but I'll be damned if I am going to pay other countries for some BS cooked up by AL GORE and his team of LIEING scientists! I don't need to be MADE to help poor countries. I have bought goats and chickens for poor countries, I donate to several causes, I do my part.

The only people who are FOR cap n trade don't understand it!

Thank you for this list of companies to support.

Cap and trade is perhaps the dumbest in a long line of stupid ideas.  ALL that it would accomplish is to send MORE manufacturing offshore... to places where there isn't cap and trade legislation.  Then, in addition to being less "green" in manufacturing, there will also be a carbon footprint to bring those products back... assuming we haven't had a full economic implosion.

BTW, remember that Gore is making HUGE profits from his greenwashing, and stands to make even bigger profits from cap and trade.  It isn't about the "greening" of America, it is about greening his wallet.

Agree with Lane on this one, companies only support this who stand to profit from it.

    Lane.  you wrote.........

"Thank you for this list of companies to support".

I think you meant BOYCOTT...didn't you.. I know you are against Cap and Trade as are most of us...

I have NEVER believed in Global Warming as such as Al Gore preaches..... I do believe there are many things we should be doing as Humans... to do our part in keeping the air clean for future generations.. I believe this planet is in God's Control...PERIOD....

I agree with Most all of what Cheri' Smith says..

I can and do live without most of the items on the BOYCOTT list

BUT i am NOT  nor will I EVER BOYCOTT the CHURCHES to help get the Bill passed...

Again, my question in my POST was.

Still willing to sign on? and if so do you promise to boycott all those 100 Supporters of the BILL  on the list to support your cause?

Linda Mae, I still after may years boycott all Coca-cola products because they still support bullfighting and rodeo.  I boycott all Proctor and Gamble products because they still test on animals.  So those two will remain on my boycott list.  As for the others, gonna make it  a point to purchase their products.  Climate change is real, and climate change is dangerous to the planet regardless of what some other commentor here say.

I have never been one to get in to the Scientific evidence of Global Warming one way or another.. I'm BAD...

and yes i am  ignorant about this issue.. I have selfishly ignored it and just put my faith and trust in God taking care of the Planet...

It may or may not be real... I do not usually take any side when I know I do not know any of the Facts ...

I do believe our natural resources are being harmed by the environment whatever the cause.....

I do believe Man is harming the planet at a rapid pace...

I am certain those of you who believe one way or another have read  or listened to the available data.. I have not....

I wrote the article as I said to ask the question of those who oppose the Bill are they willing to Boycott everything on the list to support their cause....

    Thanks for sharing your beliefs....

Linda- you are right about God on this one. How arrogant are humans to ever even think that God does not know all, and has put safeguards in place. He knew the man he created. He knows all. I am sure that God being God is not going to have HIS earth be destroyed until it is time for the Earth to be purified for Jesus' arrival in his chariot to reign with 1000 years of peace.

On another note- the global warming is a man made up scam for profits. What really amazes me is that people who hate people who want to profit off of others are right there standing next to Gore wanting him to become the first green billionaire through legislation and preferential treatment.

The companies who are on the list stand to profit from legislation or have been pushed into it to be politically correct.

The scientific evidence is overwhelming that global warming is not man made and even those that say it is, admit that there is nothing we can do to change it. IF it is natural in nature- even if you don't believe in God, which I know you do- there is nothing that man can do to stop it. But aside from that, there are more scientists that have disproved this theory than not. I can give you all the evidence.

The next thing is that while these companies are going to profit- millions of Americans if Gore has his way will lose their jobs and the poverty will be unlike we can ever recall. The entire Kentucky area will be devastated. You think those people can not sell their homes now, just wait, those families will be left to the dust. No one will be there for them. They are just poor people who no one gives a crap about, well, except for me and some real folks who are trying to help them. Katerina

And I am glad to report our church is not on that list, nor would they ever be since we don't believe in preaching politics from the pulpit and also we want each member of our church to exercise their own free agency. Katerina

Here I go again, I don't drink Coca Cola because it is poison to your body. I don't drink Coffee or alcohol so Starbucks is a non issue for me.

I don't belong to any unions or community organizing groups. i drive a Mercedes and plan to keep my car so I won't be going into any auto dealers. I don't support any Dow products because they use toxins that are not good for my body. I also find it hypocritical of them to tout the green thing while they poison people. I don't support Proctor and Gamble for the same reasons. Don't use any of their products.  I rarely go shopping for things I don't need and then I try to produce what we can ourselves.

I am sure there might be some  I don't have a choice of, yet, like FPL- they are our electric company but we don't have any competition to choose.

The one I disgust and refuse to ever buy from is GE- they are the biggest hypocrites and are in bed with the Congress and White House. They have gotten the public and congress to buy their bull. Like their stupid light bulb which contains mercury and is not even healthy for you. GE products- never find them in my house! I have not bought from them in years. Katerina

Chris thank you for the link ... here is the article from reuters for those interested.....

The 7 December-18 December UN talks in Denmark are aimed at settling a legally binding global deal after arguments between rich and poor nations about who should cut emissions, by how much and who should pay.

"There is no question of India accepting a legally binding emission reduction cut," Ramesh told parliament, laying out New Delhi's negotiating position ahead of the talks.

He said India would accept international verification of reductions if supported by financial and technology transfers.

Negotiations have run out of time but there are still hopes that a substantive political pact can be agreed at the meeting instead.

"We are going to Copenhagen ... prepared to be flexible," Ramesh said."

Any one know what this means?  What might they do?

Linda Mae:  Excellent post, as always.  I am not willing to boycott anyone except maybe not buy any goods that are manufactured in China, and that is becoming impossible.  Even our food is coming from there now.  I don't like Cap and Trade, but I am all for having a level playing field that all countries abide by the same rules, else we unfairly punish our own country's companies.

Cheri, please see my post on North America is Cooling.  It may explain the snow in Texas and why we still have global warming.  BTW thanks for what you are doing for the environment.  If everyone could be like you.  (Vinegar is magic stuff, kills bacteria)

I disagree with everyone who says there is no global warming, the evidence is overwhelming and right in front of us.  I disagree with those who say it is a fraud.  I do, however, believe there are those who have gone to extremes.  We must balance cost with common sense and not become hysterical on either side of the issue.  I believe we don't know "all" the reasons for the causes.

People are skeptical because all the evidence seems to point one direction, and there doesn't seem to be a counterbalance to the arguments for warming.  The next point is that no one likes "fear mongering".  People don't want added stress in their lives.  It is easiest to deny and ignore it.  Plus there are those who think this is going too far and is overkill.  Climate change is being blamed for every normal weather event or specific famines and droughts.  Some country leaders are blaming all of their problems in governance to "climate change".  Yeah, sure!  People are just tired of the hype.
