Your house ceases to become your home from the moment people begin viewing it.  Personal pictures must go.  Design preferences must be set aside, etc.  If you do not adopt this mindset, the house will not sell at it's full potential... if at all.  Not everyone can afford to move into a temporary home, nor is this necessary, but there is a different way of living within a staged house, versus a personal residence.  For more information, or to schedule a consultation, contact marybethstrait@yahoo.com

MaryBeth,  You are so right.  Once your home goes up for sell, you need to look at it as if it were a commodity, not "your" home.

Brilliant words.   I tell sellers that they have to stop viewing their house as their home and consider it an asset they want to convert into cash.  It's no longer their home (that's our goal when selling anyway), so they may as well stop considering it as such and go ahead and make it appeal to the largest pool of buyers as possible.  Great ideas in your post.
