WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU LEMONS..DECORATE A TREE..OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT

By
Home Stager with HOME STYLE AND STAGING LLC

The staging here is East Tennessee is a little slow right now, so I had to come up with another way to use my skills ( and passion for decorating ) to pay the bills. I marketed HOME STYLE AND STAGING LLC as not only a staging and re-design company but as HOLIDAY DECORATING. I did some Fall Decorating and now doing some trees. This tree I used what they had and the outcome was very nice, I re-did the wreaths that they already had, by purchasing new ribbon. So thought that I would share this with you.

Very beautiful! Being creative includes being creative in adjusting with the times. Well done! It is marketable as well. You always see people pay to put up the lights, why not market for decorating a fabulous tree as well.

Such a good idea! I'm always inspired by the truly over-the-top Christmas trees. I've thought of doing this but haven't the faintest idea how people charge for it. Did you do hourly or a flat fee?

I charge by the hour. If I have to put the lights on the tree, that is a single chrage of $50 over and above the hourly charge. Shopping for the decorations if they do not have their own is another hourly charge. I am in East Tennessee so what I would charge is different than someone in the west or North may charge. You would be very surprised at the number of people that do not want to put up their tree and will pay have this service. It is not only businesses but homeowners as well. You may want to look into this for next year.

The tree is beautiful! I love the sheer ribbon, it has an icy feel. As much as I love decorating, I really don't like putting up my tree, so I understand the usefulness of your service. Not something I think I'll add, though!

That's a beautiful tree!  I love doing my tree and actually prefer not to have anyone help me.  It's a time I look forward to each year.  My tree is like an extended family member and I'm so sad to see it go.  I usually hang on as long as possible...since I cut it fresh it lasts longer than most.  This is one service I would really enjoy providing!

What a great solution to a slower market!  The tree looks beautiful and capitalizing on holiday decorating is inspiring.  What a wonderful example for us all!  Awesome job!
