I am a Realtor in the Upstate of South Carolina and we have just now gotten a Kiosk at the Haywood Mall in Greenville.  Since they were offering the first month free (June), I filled up a whole panel with 18 listings.  I didn't get one phone call from the Kiosk, so I'm not planning on doing this again unless I hear from other Realtors that use them with success.

If anyone has had any success with them, please let me know.  We are in a Buyers market in the Upstate and I am doing everything that I can to help my listings sell.

I would also like to know the success of Kiosks. My office visited the idea a few months back but opted not to use the Kiosk idea due to enormous costs involved. However, if the ROI was there, the cost would not be so much the issue.  Last time I was in Vegas and San Antonio I saw these Kiosks in the malls. Would love to hear from someone that has personal experience.

My broker used to have a manned Kiosk in our local shopping mall.  He treated it like floor time at the office.  He did pretty well with it and only stopped because the mall raised the rents so high that it just did not become practical anymore.

Are your 18 listings in different price ranges?  I have always thought a kiosk might be good, but so many people do their house hunting on line from home, I'm not sure that paying for a kiosk would really be worth it.  Good luck -

Vicki, My listings ranged from $89,900 to $425,000.

Joe, Maybe I didn't give it enough time!

Christopher and Wendy, I hope to find some good advice here also.

It's been my experience that these, along with the grocery cart ads, are not worth the money you spend on them.

Sheri,

In my local market I have never seen a Kiosk. But I know some agents in other areas that use them and they said they do work if you have someone there manning the Kiosk.

Chuck, Now I can see how that would work.  It is just me and my marketing director, so someone manning the Kiosk isn't an option.  I wonder if I can talk my Broker into doing the Kiosk???
