This man one day will receive the salute of a grateful Nation when he is laid to rest with full military honors, why not salute him now that he still alive by honoring his right to fly our flag, after all he put his life on the line for it, that is much more than many people are willing to do today. http://www2.timesdispatch.com/rtd/news/local/article/POLEGAT02_20091202-091201/309031/P0/I do not mean to go off on a rant but, I must wonder what does it say about our society, when we have a problem with a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient flying the United States Flag on his property, because of estetics no less, the same flag that thousand have die to deffend and the same flag that one day will surely drape his coffin, today it seem that we are infatuated with sports stars, movie stars, we are star struck and give more credence to someone in a reality show than a true to life Hero.
Talk about the ultimate betrayal.
Adolfo,
Thank you for sharing this story.. Each of us need to rally to the support of this amazing 90 year old American War Hero and send letters to his Homeowners association to voice our outrage over this despicable act .....
Reblogged. This is a great example of what happens when people do not stand for America and the flag anymore. There are those who think the word flag is a derogatory name. We should all stand for what this man is standing for. I will call my Senator tomorrow. This is more important than some BS healthcare bill any day.
Another story about a Medal Of Honor Recipient that starts off with a lack of respect:
Adolfo - it would seem that the 90 year olds are speaking out all over the place. - Click here - second story down
In the meantime - featured in Silent Majority and re blogged
John O. thank you for sharing the link to a wonderful story about our Military Heros....
If that was my neighborhood I would have about 50 of my friends march up and down the street with American flags every weekend until they changed their minds! What a crappy way to treat a hero!
Hi, Adolfo! Thank you for sharing this story. It's sad that this hero is treated this way.
I have shared my life with 4 veterans, my brother and cousin in the Korean War, my youngest son in Desert Storm and my oldest granson in Iraq, this situation is outrageous.
Since when should our flag be banned from flying proudly? I think it is an outrage and no one should be silent.
My husband and I fly the flag along with the Vietnam POW flag on a 30 foot flagpole illuminated. It is one of the most awesome sights to see in the middle of the night.

I suspect he will have some "free speech" advocates with $big$ on his side fairly quickly!!!
