David,

What a fun post,  We watch the show towards the end.  We have a game going to see if we are going to pick the winner, so far we are batting 100%

David ~ You should try out for the show!  You are one of the top (if not the top) designers here of AR and I always find your work incredible.  Think about it, it really would be great to have someone from our online group on this television show.

Yes...you have a great eye!...Go for it. You do have to be the right kind of person though...Design is one thing...TV is another.

Ron & Alexandra ~ I particularly like the white box challenge where everyone has the exact same space to work with - it's where the creatvity really shows!

Kim ~ That would be fun, huh?

Kate ~ Thanks for the kind words.  My partner Nik is our designer and I'll be sure to share your comments with him.

Maureen ~ I'd love to see him on the show, but he doesn't want to do a reality show.  It would probably be like your experience multiplied by 100 since you have to live and breath the show until its over.

Valerie ~ TV is certainly another thing - but if you have the right skin for it, this is a great opportunity!

Trying out would be fun.  You would have to be a very strong person to hold up to that kind of stress.

Think that I'll pass on it

The funny thing is I DID send in all the info last year for DS4, even spoke to a couple people over the phone but alas, never made it to the finals.  Unfortunately after seeing that DS4 turned into a pure ratings ploy instead of trying to find any true design talent I was a bit miffed.  That being said,  maybe DS5 will be different, I certainly hope that HGTV learned their lesson.

But have Nik try out, who knows! ;-D

Virginia ~ It does take a certain person that can live with cameras in their face 24-7.

Connie ~ Thanks for sharing your experience!  It will be interesting to see how the fifth season turns out!
