Snug Harbor is a senior 55+ retirement community. It consists of 176 residences that overlook South Shore waters.  It was built in 1970 and this established community is located South of Merrick Road. Each condominium has a backyard patio, and there are ranch and attached duplex floor plans.  There are no garages here, but ample parking is throughout the complex. Snug Harbor offfers a clubhouse, pool, tennis, card room, social events and a private marina where you pay by the foot for docking rights.  According to public records, in 2008 there were sales at Snug Harbor in Amityville NY between $345,000 to $375,000.
