Our First Snow day in Murphy, NC!

By
Real Estate Agent with Murphy and Hayesville, NC; Hiawassee, Blairsville, Blue Ridge GA

What a perfect way to wake up on this beautiful Saturday morning in Cherokee County! This is our first winter snow in Murphy, NC and it’s come just in time for the Annual Hometown Christmas Parade in town today. I thing I’m going to bundle up and get outside for a nice walk on Wolf Mountain with the dogs before we head into town. Just enough snow to have a great day in the mountains!

Lee and Carol,

Thanks for sharing this wonderful picture!  It seems snow in in many forecasts today.  Just read one in Connecticut.  We in Santa Barbara, CA are expecting rain showers...I like rain, not as pretty as snow.

It matters to us as much as it matters to you.

We were supposed to get a "dusting" here in Nashville too, but it must have missed us this morning.

I like the rain too, Ron & Alexandra, but waking up to this snow much nicer. We've been having a few days of rain and I love listening to it, especially on the metal roof of our home. Nothing like a little snow on the mountains to get you in the mood for Christmas!

You're so right Lottie. I love the changing seasons - we missed them living in Florida. This first snow makes me want to turn the Christmas music on and start baking :)

I should have titled my post that Ruth. The first snow just really gets you excited for Christmas!

They're saying we might get a little more snow here Mike, so maybe some snow is still on the way to you.

Lee and Carol,

That looks like about the right amount of snow to still go about your regular business. :)

We could do with a little more, Steve, but this is a nice start. I like when the snow really hangs on the evergreen branches and we can have a good snowball fight...and go to the office too :)

Can't say I'm envious, but I can imagine those hills covered with the white stuff.

I know you had your fill of snow in London, Jane. We get just enough snow to enjoy! No shoveling, chains or snow days for us...just snowball fights, snow tubing or just sitting inside by the fire looking out the window :)

Hi Lee & Carol:

Isn't that funny that you had more snow in NC than we had here in Southern NJ!!!

Hi Carol:  We had ours too... and it quickly melted away... today more came... most of it is gone... we have received news that we will get piled up with the stuff in a few days!  Enjoy your time OFF from the Rain... and see you when you return!

Hello Lee and Carol, that must be very nice to see from your home...just a little bit of snow to pretty things up but not enough to keep you from getting out!  We live in a transition zone that gives us a little snow or freezing rain -- then rain after a cold-snap like we've just had.  John
