While shopping last weekend, my husband and I were driving down Manhattan Blvd., headed to Chez Target. I darn near got whiplash turning around to take a second look at the neutral ground, since it was lined with the most unique Christmas trees I've ever seen.
So I had to go back to take a closer look at the hues that caught my eye….
In addition to their usual inventory of palm trees and other landscaping solutions (and regular old Christmas trees), Creative Gardens and Landscaping is selling colored, flocked Christmas trees in a rainbow of colors.
These are definitely not your traditional trees, with colors ranging from a soft pink to an electric blue and even a bright purple for the LSU fans!
Take heart Who Dats, there are black and gold trees as well. Wouldn't it be a hoot to keep the tree up and decorated for the Saints all the way through the Super Bowl?
A tree this bold is not for the faint of heart or the traditionalist, but imagine how much fun it would be! They seem like the perfect choice for stores, bars, restaurants. What about in your garden or front yard? That would definitely stop traffic :)
Pssst…if you decide that this is a holiday statement you want to make, be sure to ask for Kelly when choosing your tree. And if you get one, send us a picture – we’d love to see what your imagination comes up with!

That is the most creative idea I've seen in quite some time! I love the colors, but I don't know if I'd be bold enough to display one. But you're right about them being perfect for businesses!
Lisa - I would have stopped dead in my tracks too if I had driven by those trees. I don't think I've ever seen Christmas trees come in such a wide variety of colors. They would definitely make a statement in any house or business and what fun it would be to decorate them! :)
Lisa, I love it, a tree for every decor....or every room to go with your color schemes! I hope they do well with their sales.
Lisa...what about buying three...purple, gold and green for mardis gras??? I like the Saints idea as well....fun not to be the 'aints, isn't it?...If panthers rhymed with something clever, we would be putting bags on our heads! And for you...GO SAINTS...cool for them and all of you!
I'ma a traditionalist when it comes to trees... And I couldn't help but think of the aluminum trees in Charlie Brown Christmas...
Lisa I thought I had seen everything, but you got me there :)
Hey Lisa - wow, look at all those colors! I've never seen trees in most of those before....
It was great to get to meet you in San Diego at the REBC San Diego! And next year's NAR Convention is right there in your backyard! ;-)
Ann
Thanks for reading, everyone...I just thought they were so unique! I've never seen trees in those colors either, and had to go back for pictures and to share :)
Jane, 12-0!!! WHO DAT!?!
Lisa, I love the colors of the trees. And the idea of keeping a tree decorated for the Saints is a cool one!
Susan, I'm thinking that more and more people who have flocked or artificial trees will be decorating them for the Saints this year. We are on a roll!!
Lisa, now they can keep selling trees right up through Mardi Gras ... I can just see that purple tree covered with Mardi Gras beads !!! Every Christmas my husband teases my daughter about getting a white flocked tree, because he knows that she won't have it! Merry Christmas.
Great idea, Susan. They can just take the leftover trees, flock them purple and call them Mardi Gras trees!
I love it!
Leave it to New Orleans to color things up even more at Christmas!
Merry Christmas from your friend in Charlottesville!
Lisa, I would have purchase the Gold Tree. They all were colorful. These colors really fit us here. Must be Christmas in New Orleans.
Charles, we are pretty colorful, aren't we? :)
Frank, go get one and post the pictures!!
