Several weeks ago, someone hacked into my site, and my family has listened, as I have been working on "tracking Hackerdown" the culprit and making some changes to insure that it doesn't happen again.

The other day, my 11-year old called me and said, "Mother, I found him!...that guy who hacked into your site!...I googled my name to find my gymnastics meet scores and there is a guy talking about ‘holding you back'...his name is Jim something."

I burst out laughing. My daughter also has my hyphenated name, so she had found the first post that Jim Cronin wrote about me, just before the onset of Project Blogger. He had described me as "Trying to hold back a raging bull in a chute...".

"Great Research Skills on Google...but that's my coach", I said.  She was so disappointed.  The power of google, I thought...beware of what you say, and do...Google will find it!

Thats kind of a weird story, to think someone you know would hack into your site just to change a post.

I had an old boyfriend make a really funny comment on my article about encroachments...something about grabbing the woman next to him on an airplane.  I am sure that he "made it  up" just to be funny,  He is President of a Company in town and THAT comment shows up if you google his name....I REALLY laughed when I saw that, but I don't think he did!  I wonder how many of his clients have read it??!!

I know that 35 people have "googled" him and ended up on my site...ha ha!

Funny!  I'm imagining the historical research that will be done hundreds of years from now... sifting through the internet bytes Google has archived away and trying to assemble them into a meaningful picture of our lives.  Scary.  If re-writing history to suit your current point of view is today called "revisionist" history, is writing favorable snippets now so Google will display them for future historians "revisionist" or "creationist" history?

Jackie I'm getting caught up on all the stuff I missed during that ten day road trip of mine to the north (I'm still hearing Willie Nelson's "On The Road Again" in my head, but Jim and the kids have banned me from playing it anymore!)

On the foodstuff... you do come up with some doozies, don't you?? I have no idea what these new words are. Actually that's not entirely true. I recognized a couple of Italian ones here and there. My word for today is "manis" - sounds like Mannah (as in Scriptural) or as in Praying Manis - hmm that's not quite right. Well, they are at least trying harder to keep the place safe.

On the names... from the beginning of the Project Blogger contest I noticed how many of the women have hyphenated names or at least long or complicated ones. Isn't that interesting?

I just wrote more and realized this was getting too long - sorry!!!
