I recently read an article by Darren Stewart about the possibility of purchasing a home with no money down and no monthly mortgage insurance. Missouri's USDA Rural development program is still a wonderful program for buyers that are short on down payment money. Here's a short version of his post.
Communities such as Ozark, Repubic, Willard, Rogersville, Strafford, Bolivar and Fair Grove are eligible for this program. Springfield, Nixa and Battlefield Missouri are not eligible
Interest rates are 30 year fixed morgages, no payback penalties or tax recapture for the Guaranteeed Program.
