Feng Shui Consultants are always taught and reminded to connect with Nature. As a Feng Shui Consultant on Long Island, you will often find me in New York City as well. Many times after a Feng Shui Consultation in NYC, I will head to Central Park.

It was one of those end of the summer, beautiful warm days. I'd just finished a Feng Shui Consultation for a Business uptown and decided I wanted to walk through at least part of Central Park. Soon the leaves would be changing and there would be a chill in the air. Not on this day!

I walked...and walked and passed some lovely sights along the way. These are a few of the things I saw on that beautiful day in Central Park. There are SO many pictures and since many people enjoy seeing New York City, they will be in a following blog post.

I love central park... I so enjoyed these photos. I was in Central Park about 15 years ago... and I enjoyed every moment. these photos bring back some very fond memories.

I have fortunately been at the site of these photos many times over the years, so these were great to relive !

I think Central Park must be a wonderful place and I'd love to see it someday. You're lucky to be so close.

What a beautiful tour of Central Park! It seems to be an oasis that can refresh and energize, and provide a respite from the masses of concrete, asphault, and people. I do like that huge boulder-it reminds me of some of the large ones at the Devil's Den at Gettysburg. The planners of NYC were very wise to set aside such a large amount of very valuable ground for their people to enjoy for future generations.

You are my eyes and ears for NYC, Carole, as I have never been there. Thanks for all these great blogs that tell about NYC, Long Island, and the many places you travel to.

For myself being connected to nature is very calming and I feel so happy at the same time. It's the best isn't it?

Hi Carole, we go into Manhattan often. When we go, I always have to go to Central Park. It's my favorite place! There are tons of street performers. Last year we saw 2 young men performing these acrobats and they were awesome! Some scary stuff they did.

It's a great place to go anytime of year. Have a great day Carole!

Beautiful Carole, both the pictures and the captions. Have heard so much about Central Park especially in the movies and this is the closest we have ever come. I related to the pictures with the paths. It made me think 'stay the course' or veer to the right. Looking forward to more pictures.

Very nice pictures, When I think of a city I don't think of the parks like these I think of the very busy streets and buildings upon building, I'm sure this park offers the locals some sense of country and nature

Central Park is one of my favorite places in NYC. Nowhere else can you go and get away from all the commotion of the city but Central Park.

Joan, We love Central park no matter what time of year it is. I'm not sure if you remember when the "Gates" where set up inside Central Park a few years ago I believe. When it snowed that was some sight to see :)

Victoria, I would love to take pictures from the south end of Central park to the North end...even from the east to west side. Each area seems to have it own unique feel to it.

Sally, It's always great to get in touch with nature. Especially living in such a congested area...we need to retreat to a place where the outside world seems to disappear :)

Steve, I'm not sure if there are any other parks like this one in the United States. It truly is unique :)

Sheldon, right not weather is a bit cold for my taste to visit the park...so till then I'll have to relive through the pictures as well. As soon as spring pops up again, off to Central Park I go!

Georgina, It is a magical place...the energy of all the different people I feel adds to the parks character and what it has to offer.

Bruce, That was very poetic of you :) I think the design of Central Park was inspired by a Park in Paris...but you can double check that info. I also think it became a competition of some sort..who can build the better park, type of idea. Central Park has so much history...we haven't even began to touch :)

Cynthia, I think that is hilarious how you described the people laying on the rocks. Now every time I look at that pick I will think of happy little seals :) I think it is wonderful...in the spring and summer I love walking in the Gardens on Long Island. It's a great place to reconnect with the outside.

Jackie, That's whats so great about Central Park, you never know what your going to find. You might a man playing the sax, to a young child juggling items to acrobats flying in the air...its amazing!

Al & Peggy, It's interesting you mention that. When we're in Central Park...or even in the city we never have a set direction or area to visit...we kinda let our intuition guide us to where we are meant to be.

Toula, It's amazing how photos, videos or sound can really bring us back to that place and time and sooth the soul :)

Caron, This is what I love about sharing images with you all. Your able to really see a whole other side to New York City...the more calmer and tranquil side.

Craig, I think it's funny that Laura and I like traveling into the city to find peace of mind at Central Park. To get there you have travel almost into "kayos." But along the way you stumble upon some fun street fairs.

Christopher & Stephanie, Once your in the Park its as if your whole mind set changes. You see people jugging, roller blading, reading, walking, for the younger adventures...climbing the rock, reconnecting with nature and just enjoying life.

Sharon, Seeing the architecture surrounding the park is so Surreal and Amazing. It's really a remarkable site to see.

Carole ~ it's hard to believe that such a beautiful park is smack in the middle of NYC. Your photos are spectacular! I love the photos with water and so many other natural elements. It must be easy to "get lost" while spending time there -- thanks for sharing these wonderful photos!

Carole - When I was in NYC in May of 2008, I had planned to tour the city for two days. But a major storm blew in and kept me in my room all the second day. However, I had rode by Central Park on the upper deck of the tour bus on the first day. I marveled at how Central Park provided a glorious oasis in the middle of the vast metropolis you dwell in. I hope to get back there one day, and make certain I visit the park. I'm most fascinated by the fountain with the winged angel. I need to see that!

Carole - I have been to New York many times but have never had the opportunity to visit Central Park. Someday I'd love to get there especially after seeing your beautiful photos.

I've been to Central Park just once and I loved! Great energy. I was there when the Pope was visiting the city, do you remember? Wow, that day was crazy! Great pictures!

Since I have seen it with my own eyes, I know that there is solitude in Central Park, but if I had seen your photos first, I might have understood just how much there is, and the magnitude of the park. I was truly shocked at its size, and the impact it has on the city. Wonderful shots!
