This is a short blog post ... I see more and more Agents blogging today the wrong way. You need to be aware that blogging is one sure way of getting your website ranking in the search engine but you do have to have the proper Anchor text. I mean how can potential client find you if your blooging and placing your url http://www.johnhomesonline.com/ as anchor text instead of Bay Area Real Estate. The difference here is that unless potential clients knows your direct url, direct anchor text won't help you rank for jack! now by placing Bay Area Real Estate as the anchor text, you have the potential to rank near the first page of google for that keyword when people search for real estate in your area. oh ya, diversify your anchor links such as Walnut Creek Real Estate or Dublin Real Estate. As you can see from the examples, I pointed the anchor text to different pages of my website instead of just the main page.

Examples of Bad Anchor text : My Website, your Name, website url, visit my website or not placing active anchor text when blogging.
