This super-duper chocolate kisses cookie recipe is super-duper easy to make. You can even get the kids to help you make them as well as eat them. It's tons of fun for everyone.
Ingredients
1 16.5 oz package refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 2/3 cup chocolate-flavor sprinkles 2 tbsp milk About 40 dark chocolate kisses, unwrapped
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a cookie sheet or spray with cooking spray; set aside. Place cookie dough and cocoa powder in a resealable plastic bag. Seal the bag and knead the mixture with your hands until the it is completely mixed together. Remove dough from bag.
2. Place chocolate sprinkles in a shallow dish or small bowl. Place milke in another shallow dish or small bowl. Shape dough into 1" balls. Dip balls in milk to moisten, then roll in chocolate sprinkles to coat. Place balls approximately 2" apart on cookie sheet.
3. Bake in preheated oven about 8 minutes or until edges are firm. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool. Makes about 40 cookies.
My family LOVED these. And they were so easy to make, too.
This is great for 4-year-olds, Sheldon. They will have lots of fun squishing the dough and cocoa powder together in the resealable bag.
As for the video, I used my still photos and uplaoded them to Slide.com. It's a free account and really easy to use. They have several templates, skins and even a few songs to choose from for background music. The only reason I didn't use the background music is that they don't allow you to make it "clickable" (meaning the music automatically starts whether you want it or not). That can be a bit much for some people.
Thanks for the tutorial on some great-looking holiday cookies. My mouth is watering right now. This even looks simple enough for ME to do, sp I'll give it a shot.
Since you get to use pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough, Pam, it's SUPER easy to make. You don't even have to be a contender on the Next Food Network Star or Top Chef to make it work.
Heather they look easy to make and great to eat.....but would taste much better if you made them for me.....come on you know I don't bake......LOL.......peace zane
Heather, I just did a tutorial on how to do dry wall repair and put the photos up individually on the post. How cool would it have been to do them on Slide? Thanks for reminding me of this very fun free tool. Merry Chris(t)Mas!
Heather--M-m-m. Just as I am having a chocolate attack I trip across your post. Thanks for the fix. Love the slide show, too. I have to get down to business and figure out how to do the slide show. I signed up, but haven't done anything with my Alaska pics yet. Soon. Thanks for the chocolate. Mary
Heather, you got me, I love chocolate and this one I'm trying this weekend.Your slide show was terrific. I'm still working on getting my pictures in and aligned, but I'm getting there thanks Barbara
Oh, Mary. They are super good, super chocolatey and super easy to make. Slide.com is really easy to use. It would be great to add all your photos in one easy place.
My boys loved them so much, Barbara, that I am going to be making more this weekend, too. That is if I can stop my son from eating all the kisses before I get a chance to make the cookies! :)
