Elaine, what a beautiful post.  Sounds like a great getaway.  Living just over the hill in Hemet, we often come out to PS for lunch and shopping.  We always take the 10 fwy out and come back home over the mountain through Idyllwild.  You have shown one side of the desert's beauty, but I have to say, I thoroughly enjoy seeing the landscape of the desert, in all four seasons.

Your pictures make me want to visit.  I love the beauty of the desert, especially since it's so different from Hawaii.
