Have you ever said anything stupid?

Yes I have and since I'm married I'm sure my wife even has proof.

The point I would like to make is you have to be very careful with anything you post, comment about, email, etc. Once something is on the Internet it is there forever. I have archived most of the emails I have received. I actually have emails from 10 years ago. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. When I googled myself I found a comment I made back in 2003.

I think one of the things my boss is always saying would fit in here perfectly. "Never go negative!"

Have you ever posted, commented, or blogged something you now wish you hadn't?

So far so good. I try to use the 2 day rule, but give me time. I'm new to this blogging thing. I'm sure I'll eventually put my foot in my mouth. :)

When posting or commenting on the internet everyone should be aware that it is out there for all to read. Always think twice. Good reminder Drew.

Yes, I say stupid things all the time. My wife keeps a running list. I just never publish anything on the Internet. That would be REALLY stupid!

I never say anything stupid. on purpose that is. i am sure my co-workers can tell you and write a book about idiot saying of the Salsa.

Ah, who hasn't my friend. In blogs, on the phone, in e-mail, in a letter, anywhere you can communicate we are likely to say something that the minute you think about it, you wish you could take back. I think that is a human trait.

It is a good thing though, it shows that no one is perfect.

I feel pretty good about the info that I have posted. I am not aware of anything bad out there.

Drew, your post is an excellent reason not to post for points. The posts that say, "I don't have anything to say today" are stupid. and don't help you with your target market, the consumer

I have to bite my tongue everyday. If you look in the Ask A Realtor section here on AR, there are some answers posted by our local "experts" that are just absolutely wrong. Like Jim said, don't post for points and don't comment if you don't know the answer.

I have not posted a comment I wanted to take back. I have typed the comment then had second thoughts and deleted it before posting. Easier to delete than regret later!

Not on the internet that I can think of. In person yes. Definitely. Both my current husband and ex-husband would give you an earful.

Cheri', our spouses definately seem to be very adept at remembering the stupid things we do and say.

YES, I already did it!... Since I am posting on AR blog. Looking back to my posts I can't stop to feel sometimes embarrassed. I did not see than... but I see now. WELL!... What is done is done. We all make mistakes. Important is to recognise and improve.

I probably have...even though i may not have thought so.

My comments like beauty are in the eyes of the beholder!

Your timing is really good! This is my third day with AR and I will definitely be careful what I post. Over the years I have found that stopping to think is always a good idea. I am certainly not an expert at it, but when it comes to business, I am very careful about what I say! Thank you for your post! Very helpful!
