Winter Wonderland in West Texas??

Texas is an enormous state with lots and lots of wide open spaces!  Out in the far West corner of Texas sits a beautiful park called Big Bend National Park.  I grew up in West Texas (Fort Stockton to be exact) and my family still lives there.  This past weekend my mom and dad drove over to Big Bend National Park and here are some of the pictures they took (I only wish had taken more)!

When most folks think of the West Texas wilderness, these are not the images that come to mind but it is a beautiful place filled with a wide variety of plants and animals.  I hope you enjoy the pictures and I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Great pictures. We got a little bit but it only lasted a few hours. I think by lunch it was just WET. It was beautiful to wake up to though.

Can't believe a pixel of these pix.  They must  be from Minnesota.  I know it's always HOT in Texas.
