How?  How can you accumulate points? 

Active Rain offered points for several different "core activities when I joined back in October 2006.  The list of point generating activities has changed over time - so the first rule is - keep up with the changes!  A good place to do that is the Official Active Rain Blog - which gives notice to members of things going on in the Rain. Sometimes, the opportunities are limited - such as building communities for Localism.  Others are open ended such as Inviting Members.  In my humble opinion, to accumulate points and remain high in the point totals requires consistent focus and seizing all point generating opportunities with both hands!  Those that focus only on one or two areas may do well - but cannot keep up with those that engage in all areas.
