I love my blue-tooth headset. It makes my life easier all the time.

BUT, some funny things have happened also.

  • I was in office depot when i got disconnected. no big deal it happens in big stores like that with concrete walls. So, I went to call them back and realized I had left my phone on the passenger seat of my car. I was kind of impressed at how much wandering around the store I was able to do before I got disconnected.
  • I was talking to my boss and he was telling me that his daughters cell phone was just stolen. then I heard a women talking. I thought he had conferenced in his daughter so I said sorry your phone got stolen. The woman on the phone started freaking out and said "is this a hold up or something?" Somehow I had picked up someone else's telephone conversation and I had to call my boss back.
  • I picked up my cell phone and said hello a couple of times and they hung up. The phone rang again and the same thing happened. The third time I realized my headset was still connected even though it was at the other end of the house charging.
  • I thought I had hit the button to finish a call after leaving a message. Several minutes went by and all of a sudden I heard the hang up sound. Then I was in a panic trying to think if I had said anything stupid over the last couple of minutes or been singing along to the radio, etc. I called back and apologized for the super long message.

Do you have any funny cell phone or headset stories?

I find most headsets to be a pain in the 'ear.  So - I avoid them. On a final note - CHAYOTE!

Rich occasionally hands me his phone to answer. Not a problem unless the bluetooth is connected and in his ear. I'm saying hello, hello and the person is responding in Rich's ear.

I was walking by a friend of mine who was just working at his desk when he said "Hello" so I said hello back but he said "Alright, I'll see you tonight." I hesitated for a second then I walked around the desk and saw the bluetooth headset on his ear and then walked away with my tail between my legs, hoping that he didn't hear me.

I love technology.  Thanks,

On my headset if you push the button it dials the last person you called. My ear piece was falling out of my ear so I pushed it in and it called my east cost client. It was 11:00 pm in Ca, 2:00 am in New Hampshire.

I always get the looks like "are you talking to me?" With longer hair, you dont even know its in my ear which can make it even more funny!

Mana very funny! When we were in Thailand we had a vonage phone so that our friends and family could call us for free. We would get calls in the middle of the night when people figured the time difference wrong.

I talk with my blue tooth while I'm in the car all the time.  One day, I was talking away while sitting at a red light.  I glanced over next to me and the guy in the car next to me was jumping around making dancing motions.  He thought I was jamming out to a song on the radio!

Edith, thank you! It has definately made me laugh.

Beth, It's also fun when youve got the window down and you get the "are you talking to me" look.

Rebecca, Yeah they should have non working samples that you can wear on your ear for a day to find out which one is comfortable for you.

I was at my kids soccer game, intensely negotiating a deal on my bluetooth. I'm Italian and I talk with my hands. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a small group of children staring at me.  They were inching closer and closer, heads cocked to one side...when they finally got close as they dared, eyes like saucers, one child turned to the others and said, "Ugh!  She's on the phone!!"  They thought I was just crazy.

When I first got my BT I was always feeling around for the answer button on the side.  I have long hair so it looked like I was just playing with my hair.  One day my boss was standing where she could see me and asked if I had an ear infection and was it bothering me. :/...Way too funny.  My boss doesn't even own a computer let alone a BT.  :)

It kinda annoys me when I'm talking to someone and then they answer a call with their Bluetooth, but don't tell me they're answering their phone.  Makes me look like the idiot.  So I'm not a huge fan of them.

Dawn, I can picture it because I've seen it. Very funny!

Roberta, I would have loved to be there while you tried to explain.

Jim and Maria, Your absolutely right. When I'm with a client, business rep, etc. I do not answer my phone. When I don't answer the phone in front of someone I ask them if they mind if I take the call. Like with all things you need to use some etiquette and respect for those around you.

Shane, Your welcome. I hope you got a chuckle from it.
