Shopping for Kodak V570?

By
Home Stager with Staged First Impressions

If you're shopping for a Kodak V570 to snap some fantastic listing photographs, now might be a good time to shop for one.  Walmart is selling these models for $188. with no shipping costs if you pick it up at your local store. It comes with everything you need.

As I mentioned at the IAHSP Convention, you can get a more expensive model with a built in panoramic stitching feature, but I don't think that's necessary.

Hi Sue...Is that he one that Jeff Turner was giving kudos to a while back? The one that has a really good wide angle?

Sue,

I believe the camera Jeff Turner (and others here on A/R) blogged about is the Kodak V-705.....not the 570.  They're different cameras but with confusingly-similar names.  I have the 705 and love it ~ the wide angle is amazingly effective!

Maureen, thank you for reading.

Yes, the V705 is another option, but as I said in my blog this more expensive model isn't necessary unless you photograph plots of land, water or mountain views...where you need the stitching panoramic feature.

I believe the V570 is plenty for "non-professional" real estate photography.

V705 sells for $349.95 on the Kodak website. I could not find this product at Walmart.com

What happened with these cameras?????   When I bought mine a few months ago on Amazon the v570 was $150 and the v705 was $180.  I've never heard of a camera going up almost double in price.  What gives?

Wow I guess I was luckier than I thought when I bought my V-705 online at Costco.com....on sale for only $249 including a 2-GB card.  Now Costco doesn't even have them and their price has shot up on Amazon.com!

Maureen Henry,

Supply & demand? I think these cameras went over well, at least they did here at Active Rain! That is some serious inflation.

Maureen Bray, the 2GB card is still cheap, but you got a great deal on your camera for sure.
