This Saturday, December 12th, 2009, is the 20th Annual Holly Festival in Milton, Delaware. This is one of the most popular events of the year and there is something for everyone throughout the town.
The Holly Fest vendors and crafters fill the Fire House and Goshen Hall, both located in the heart of town. From 9 am - 3 pm make sure to visit the Milton Garden Club and pick up your greens, poinsettias and wonderful gifts. Last year, I did most of my Christmas shopping right here at the Holly Festival.
From 10 - 2 pm, Santa will be at Goshen Hall and yours truly will be taking photos, with your camera or with mine! My husband Bill built Santa's station and members of the Chamber of Commerce are already decorating and prepping for the best year ever.
Then, from 2 - 6 pm you can enjoy the Milton Holiday House Tour, benefiting the Milton Theatre. Last year Bill and I opened our home to the House Tour and I can tell you that a whole lot of work goes into preparing your home for hundreds of guests! It was a fun experience but this year I look forward to touring other people's homes!

At the Milton Historical Society, many of our local artists will be displaying their work and at 10 am and noon you can attend a Holly-wreath making demonstration right next to Irish Eyes, across from the Milton Theatre.
