Continuing with our series on subdivisions in the Cedar City area, we are highlighting Equestrian Pointe.  This is a large subdivision that is still in the Cedar City limits.  When we say that this subdivision has all types of homes, we mean exactly that.  There are gorgeous executive estate type homes on 5 acres to really nice starter sized homes.  As the name implies, horses are allowed in the subdivision (some of the lots) and each home must have a white vinyl fence on the perimeter of the property, but fencing across the front is optional.

This is a large subdivision with lots available to buy and bring in your own builder.  There are CC&R's that are enforced.  Homes for sale right now go from a bank owned home priced in the $209K range to a large home priced nearly at $800K.  Lots are sized from 5 acres to .25 of an acre.  Homes that are listed right now range in size from 1500 square feet to over 6000 square feet.

Wow what a view from your backyard.  What would one of these homes sell for?

Jenny, right now there are 19 homes listed starting at $209K up to $800K.  The first home that I photographed is the $800K listing.

We have a rural subdivision here where all the homes have white vinyl fences. Personally, I think they are ugly, although better than chain link fences. They also have a propensity to melt in our wildfires here, and the various chemicals released from melting plastic, even in an outdoor wind-driven wildfire, can overcome people who might be evacuating.

Happy Holidays!

Bruce: they do make it really nice!

Jim: they are not my favorite type of fencing either.
