It’s Friday, it’s the holidays, and all is right and good with the world.

I have resolved to enjoy the upcoming weekend. And although I have a few work chores to do, I am not going to listen to the news or study financial reports.

Instead, I’m going to attempt to relieve the stress of everyday life by taking some time to enjoy the season with friends, music, and some good cheer. And as trite as that sounds, I am looking forward to it as much as a child does to opening presents on Christmas morning.

Here’s something I recently found out: Just because we work in real estate does not exempt us from enjoying the holiday season. Wow, that’s news to me but if I must take some time to revel in the gaiety of the season I will.

And the season, like our children, will be gone before we know it. Time ignores no man or woman. And I don’t want to be forced to ask myself later:

Why did I miss out on all of the fun?

Richard, Richard. You don't need an excuse to enjoy the day or the season.

Life is here to enjoy all year round. Just look around and you'll find things to celebrate.

Richard, I hope you have a great weekend! I'm hoping that this weekend will be mainly work-free for me.....I'm not showing homes, but we are having a Breakfast With Santa party at the office in the morning. That should be lots of fun though.

It's such an important time of year...

We all deserve a weekend! Have a great one!!!

Richard - GREAT IDEA!!!! I think I might follow your lead - but I do have a couple of closings I am praying will work! I put my Husband and myself on a News Diet around Thanksgiving and it was amazing how much better we felt!!!! You can only listen to that garbage but so long! Anyway have fun - I'm picking up my 18 month old and going to the Childrens Museum this afternoon! I want to play a bit!

Richard.....during the week, I focus on busines.....the weekends are diversified....it's just like investing....I try to do a bit of many things.

If I recall correctly you wrote a blog about achieving a balance in life not too long ago. It seems you're taking your own advice. Good for you Richard. Enjoy the weekend! there will be plenty of work to do come Monday and no one will perish if you take 72 hours off from your daily grind.

Richard: I'm scheduled to attend two Christmas parties this weekend. I have blocked the time on my calendar and am scheduling the buyer appointments around it. This season is short lived. I'm with you....let's get out and enjoy it while it's here.

I will be working this weekend, but I will still enjoy it. For some reason this year I am excited about Christmas and being excited about almost anything is rare for me.

Even when working several jobs and obscene hours...I always tried to make the most of the Holidays. Some of the time was short, but I made real quality of the time I had!

The sad part about time is ------ the older you get the faster it goes by. Oh why did I ever want to be 21?
