Well while we're not at boot camp we are in a market where this message is equally important.
Improvise!
You've got to be ready to make do with, whatever is at hand. And before you object it doesn't always take a lot of money. The sales opportunities through the internet are limitless, and from what I read this is where most buyers start their search. So how strong is your internet presence. Do you have one? Do you use your phone as a marketing tool. Are you up to date with the mortgage programs available today. Do you know which ones offer 100% financing. Stop crying about what you don't have any more, and start working with what you do!
Adapt!
If you don't have the ability to adapt in this market, then leave now. Find another job. As a mortgage lender I can tell you that the guidelines by themselves are a moving target, in a state of constant change. Not just little ones, BIG ones. The buyers need to have a sense of urgency, because what I can do today, may not even be available tomorrow, next week, or next month. We all need to be able to adjust as needed.
Overcome!
We need to take the bull by the horns and get the better of the situation. Once again, we need to accept the challenge. Those who are not up for it need to find something else to do. Are you up for it? Many are being very successful in this market. They are overcoming the obstacles. Are you, or do you want to? Your choice.
Improvise! Adapt! Overcome!
