This week, for the State of California, there were 3,557 Notice of Defaults (NOD) filed with the County Recorder office.

Here are just some of the notable counties:

That is some really startling numbers.

I have not seen those kind of stats for Hawaii. The only number we saw was that we currently have the lowest foreclosure rate in the country.

Maybe that's why they call Hawaii, "Paradise".

I am sure that because it is paradise or values have continued to stay strong in most communities.

Dave thanks for sharing this - starling information but it has been bad for a long time and it is not getting better. It is tough to figure out to help people in trouble effectively. I guess we just keep trying and soon this will be history to us all.
