It's your move, let the rain pour on Wells Fargo CEO. Show the world what active rainers are made of!!! Do you remember IT's A Wondeful Life? It was compassion that made the difference in human beings, not the money and not the status you own!!!!.
Lip service without action has little meaning. Please read this story http://activerain.com/blogsview/1379024/wells-fargo-is-taking-my-home-and-it-s-all-my-fault What I am suggesting is that every single active rainer email the CEO of Wells Fargo. Realtors can have a strong influence when they band together. Can you imagine the impact if would have if every active rainer participated? With that kind of exposure they may feel threatened that extreme public announcements may follow and perhaps they will be moved by their compassion, either way... it just may be helpful and make a difference for this young man. Does anyone know the email of CEO for Wells Fargo John Stumpf? I know usually Wells Fargo puts firstname.lastname@wellsfargo.com but it did not work for John Stumpf, my mail was returned. Email it to as many Wells Fargo Rep's that you can. Please post any Wells Fargo email addresses so others will have the an address to email to as well. IF... they get enough emails to the CEO, I have to believe it will make a difference. Although I do not know this active rainer, life has dealt him a difficult situation and perhaps all this support will help him to begin healing from this heart breaking tragic point in his life. If, want to dontate see blog for more details. (see directly below the link for an update). I would still read this blog, it is a wonderful heart felt blog written with love.
Michael has a blog update, please read. http://activerain.com/blogs/azmortgagelady
stated he would rather loose his home than take donations. As much as it pains me, I must respect him. However anyone moved to donate, he would appreciate all donatations on behalf of his late beloved wife to http://planetcancer.org Pic above was downloaded from photobucket by account name 4passion. Here is a sample letter cut and paste and send, how easy is that. It will take you 1 minute. Write you own or cut and paste, whatever... just make it happen! To Whom it may concern, Please read this story below I am asking you to please help this young man. Remember the movie... It's a Wonderful Life? Here is your chance for cause and effect. Please inject you compassion to help Michael with this issue. It is in your hands and you can make a difference, the question is will you? Here is his letter, here is his email address karen.george@azwm.com And it reads.... I pray that someone from Wells Fargo reads this. I am in the most unbelievable situation right now and it's so frustrating I can't even comprehend it. Okay, when my wife Karen died last August, it almost immediately showed up on our credit report. So Wells Fargo found out about it just as quickly and changed the mortgage statement to read "The Estate of Karen George." So I called them and attempted to make a payment over the telephone. They said they couldn't speak to me about it at all, they could only speak to Karen...who again, has passed away-- and they know it. Makes sense, huh? I actually screamed at one guy because after I told him Karen passed away, he actually still said he can only speak with her. I yelled, "Are you trying to mess with me man?!? I told you- she passed away!!!" You see, because Karen and I are mortgage brokers, we kept our credit separate. Long, long story, but our primary residence was in her name and our second home was in my name. The mortgage brokers who read this will understand... (I already sold our second home though. I needed to, for the Mayo Clinic.) So I couldn't make a payment. I got behind a couple of months and kept calling Wells Fargo to try and resolve it. The problem is that I didn't want to try and make the mortgage current, if they were going to foreclose on me anyway. And they told me that was a distinct possibility. Finally, I received a phone call from the assumptions department. They said I could assume the loan, but I would have to bring it current. Well, that's become a little tough lately, because my loan volume has dropped and the loans I am doing are all foreclosures that are less than $100K. So even if I was doing the same volume, my paycheck would still be 1/3rd the usual, just because of the lower loan amounts I am dealing with. Also, I essentially lost half of my income, because Karen was a fantastic mortgage broker. So I am quite literally earning about 1/6 of my usual (household) income. Today, I recieved a letter from Wells Fargo that said they are going to start foreclosure on January 5th. I immediately called them in a panic, acid building in my stomach, but of course, they wouldn't speak to me. Only "with Karen." I have a notarized, legal will in which Karen leaves all of her possessions to me. I presented the will to Wells Fargo and they still won't speak to me. So I responded, "What if I could send in two (of my four) missed payments today, would that stop the foreclosure?" He said, "Most likely not. I wouldn't send any money if I were you, because if you don't send in all four payments [a little under $8000] foreclosure will continue on January 5th." I honestly don't know what to do. I feel physically ill. I said to the guy: "So I am in a Catch-22 and I'm going to lose my home because my wife died?" "I'm afraid so." I have never been so frustrated or befuddled in my entire life. I'm sure I am getting an ulcer. My stomach is so upset, I actually vomited after talking to the "customer service" rep. My stomach is still in knots. Why would they choose to foreclose instead of choosing to work with me? Why would they choose to lose more money? What am I going to do with this houseful of furniture? Sell it in a garage sale? It's not garage sale kind of stuff. I don't know how I deserve this-- besides being overwhelmed with medical bills and taking a few months off to grieve my wife. Anybody have any ideas?
Thank you for your time and any attention that you give to this situation. Any action you take in a postive way will be truly appreciated!
