I was looking through some of the photos that Darcy and I took while we were in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago.  Darcy took a couple of photographs of the moon, and I will be honest, I never looked at them other than in the thumbnail sized photos.  When I looked at it larger, I thought the moon looked a little odd.  You be the judge.

Hi Tony and Darcy,

Your odd shaped moon is probably the Moon and a reflection glare added to it. I use a Polaroid filter and it really prevents or greatly reduces the glare. If you use a point and shoot camera, they have these filter that you can hold in from of the lens. I saw someone using one when I was at Yosemite.

Tony & Darcy - that is a very strange photo and I get some weird reflections and strange shaped lights, moon and more and thanks for the look!

Good title, Darcy and Tony.  That does remind me of a UFO bright light.  Have you been by the ET Highway that takes people by Area 51?

Hi Guys! I think William hit the nail on the head - I use a circular polarizer almost all the time outdoors - and it really makes a difference. Cool moon just the same!

What better gift for Santa to bring than a polarizer? OK, maybe a bad pun, but still worth asking for!
