Wellington Florida Christmas and Hanukkah Happenings- 

This Sunday at 1p.m. along Forest Hill Blvd- Wellington Florida is having its' yearly Christmas and Holiday parade. This is a really fun event. Set your chairs up along the route early. Also remember that Forest Hill Blvd will be closed to traffic during the parade hours. There are floats, cars decorated with holiday cheer, marching bands and much more. 

Also on Sunday in Miami at Parrot Jungle the Miami Beach Jewish Community center is hosting the Hanukkah festival This is an annual Hanukkah event. There are many traditional foods and lots of activities for the children. You can contact the Jewish Community Center at 305-534-3206 to find out where to meet and how much it is get in. 

If you like Christmas lights you will not want to miss out on The Hoffman Chocolate Factory's festival of lights right down the street from Wellington on Lake Worth road in Greenacres Florida. This is a free event being held every night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.. The store and the lights are closed on Christmas eve and Christmas Day. This is an event we go to in the years we do not go to Disneyworld for the light displays. It is really beautiful. If you have not gone yet, you need to go. You will be happy you did. Don't forget your wallet because Hoffman's chocolates are the best- you will want to buy some and give as gifts.

Saturday and Sunday night only- Don't miss out on the Community Church of Hope's live presentation of Back To Bethlehem. This is an amazing event that is a great history teaching lesson and it is completely free. You don't have to worry about anyone even asking you for a donation. This birth of Jesus and the reinactment of Bethlehem in those days is this church's way to give back to the community.

Would you like to have Christmas with the Chimps? You can at Lion Country Safari on Friday December 18 at 9:45 a.m. at Lion Country Safari in Loxahatchee Florida. For 20 years Lion Country has been doing this Christmas with the Chimps. The presents are loaded up on boats that are taken to Chimp Island and Santa arrives at 10:30 a.m. The price is $25.50 for adults and $18.50 for kids, this does not include tax. The chimps put on a great show. You can contact the event at 561-793-1084. 

Last but not least- if you are feeling that palm trees decorated with lights still leaves something missing to your Christmas experience- hmmm, what would be missing? Ah, Snow. Well every night at scheduled intervals down at Cityplace in West Palm Beach Florida there is a fabulous display of snow. If you want to experience snow for the Christmas- this is really fun. So there are some great and fun things to do to get into and to enjoy the Christmas and Hanukkah season.
