1/3 of SoCal Counties Saw Housing Prices Jump

Home prices throughout Southern California continued to increase in October, rising $5,000 from

 September to average $280,000.

Only two or six Southern California counties had price jumps: Orange and Riverside; but that was enough to boost the average price of homes in all of Southern California.  The other four counties reported monthly sales gains, whereas Orange and Riverside counties had monthly sales drops.

The median price of a home was down 6.7% on an annual basis but that marks the smallest drop in two years.
